Ines is 21 years old and dreams of becoming an actress. In order to fulfil that dream, she decides to leave Brasília for São Paulo to appear as an extra in a popular soap opera. However, with no place to stay, she ends up staying at the Tiete Bus Terminal, the second largest in the world.

At 91, TV news anchor Cid Moreira opens the doors of his house and to his unconscious, revealing surprising facets of the man who entered the homes of millions of Brazilians every night for 30 years. Brazil’s most famous voice narrates his own history, deconstructing his mythical image and guiding the spectator through a maze of memories. Archival remembrances and images trace a panorama of his life, which is tied to the history of Brazilian TV.

Inca trepanations, bestiaries, the attempted sale of the Parque Lage land for the construction of a cemetery, and Pinscher and Yorkshire Terrier clubs are some of the events we witness here, in these three fictional projects for the historic mansion in the Botanical Garden: the Carioca Shangri-La, the Giza Necropolis, and Machu Picchu. The video was made in the context of the course Archive, Montage and Memory, developed from images from the collection of the Visual Arts School of Parque Lage, Memória Lage.
